The "Who is behind Andalusian Guitars" envious politics of www.foroflamenco.com

Last January 25th, 2010 in the foroflamenco.com forum a member published a malicious thread entitled "Who is behind Andalusian Guitars?" He speculated about the origins and whereabouts of these guitars and somehow linked my teacher Ruben Diaz, Faculty Member of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto, with this thread slandering him and Andalusian Guitars guitar makers for the only fact that he plays Andalusian Guitars guitars. I, as his student for more that 4 years, tried to defend him and Andalusian Guitars of this outrageous slandering giving them links and proofs of their wrong point of view. But they, after moving the thread to another section of the forum, locked the threads (at this point were more than one) and later, on February 9th, they blocked me without giving any explanation and disabled the links I provided as proof for my arguments.

You should ask yourself why?...

A pure diamond is a pure diamond doesn’t matter if it is from Brazil, from India, or Canada, just like pure gold is pure gold everywhere, a great guitar is a great guitar everywhere, and can be made anywhere.

Your “made in” philosophy does not convince me.
Why?
Because I regret to pay more than $6,000 euro for a Conde guitar top of the line, that I personally bought in Spain in their store /with a lot of defects,(impared holes on the bridge, wrong tuning etc.) as shown here http://www.rdiaz.org/rdvideo180.html

and of course this guitar is -made in Spain-
and so what?


Therefore, only thing that matters to me is quality…
Undeniable quality, that speaks for itself…
I believe in quality, not in “made in” guitars

What makes you think that Andalusian Guitars is obliged to respond to your “core question”
posed in this thread and reveal what you need them to reveal to sell your guitars better and to do politics against a product with which obviously you can not compete?


Paco De Lucia’s endorsement has being given to “Andalusian Guitars” and not to any specific individual person or luthier that you,out of the blue now by “coincidence” want so anxiously to know, to dispel YOUR illegitimate doubts and unfounded speculations?


This is the best store of flamenco guitars in Europe
And that’s enough prove of authenticity.

If it is not enough for you, perhaps you can ask your doctor for some pills…

when people asks who is making these or those guitars and where etc. the reasons for their questions can be as follows:

1) Only to do politics.(take advantage somehow)

2) To make a better financial offer to that particular luthier for another firm.(or to sell this information to the competitors, can be even Chinese market etc.I personally meet one that tried to buy this info for Chinese company, to duplicate high end guitars for 100 dollars each…and therefore destroy the hand made Spanish market etc.)

3) Just out of harmless curiosity( this is 1% of people)
-unlike you- with no intention to harm or take advantage, but unfortunately, this is the exception and not the rule, the other 99% falls is categories 1 or 2 or both!

I appreciate Deniz comment, and as he says who can deny
the knowledge players get from his public video lessons
(more than 200),and I also agree that he is enlightening people, Deniz is also right that the interest should be on learning guitar and not in other business and political or commercial issues.

Out of my teacher generosity I learned some great things about guitar and guitars, that no one else gave me in 20 years of experience in Spain even…I accept what he teach and I have to say that you are very wrong if you think maestro Ruben is trying to sell something…he is definitively not, he doesn’t need that at all, I know him well.

All what he is teaching FOR FREE,
what he teaches for free, others could not even in dreams possibly teach in any other way, that’s why they are angry with him, because he is generous and don’t need to do business out of that.


As far as the against-party is concerned:


When they would be able to teach on such a wide variety and quality of subjects on flamenco guitar like he does, then I will accept their arguments otherwise their cartoons just convince me about how empty they are on guitar…
